DESCRIPTION:TRAINING DESCRIPTION \nWorkplace Gender Equality 101 (formerly Understanding Workplace Gender Equality) is an essential half-day training organised by BCGE. This training is the perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of creating a workplace where gender equality is achieved and respected. \nThe training benefits employees by creating an inclusive and equal workplace environment. Businesses can also benefit from the competitive edge that comes from promoting a culture of gender equality. \nBy attending this training\, you not only empower yourself to create a better workplace for yourself and your colleagues but also create a workplace that can succeed and thrive in the competitive market. \nThe participants will explore the following – \n\nthe basic principles through 11 WGE areas of BCGE and why it is vital for sustainable business growth\, and inspirational initiations on workplace gender equality practices\nway to include persons with disabilities in the workplace\nawareness of workplace inclusivity through discussion on Sexual Orientation\, Gender Identity\, Gender Expression\, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC)\nfundamental knowledge of gender-related policies and their benefits\ntips on communicating inclusively in daily work life\n\nWho should attend – HR practitioners and people managers who initiate/implement WGE in the workplace\, any interested member firm employers/employees \nSeats: 2 attendees per member firm (for attendees of more than two persons\, please send a request to our engagement officer at 09 441 441 550).
