It commemorates the Innocenti Declaration signed in August 1990 by government policymakers\, World Health Organisation\, UNICEF and other organizations to protect\, promote and support breastfeeding. \nကမ္ဘာ့ မိခင်နို့ချိုတိုက်ကျွေးရေး ရက်သတ္တပတ်ကို နှစ်စဉ် သြဂုတ်လ ၁ ရက်မှ ၇ ရက်အထိ ကျင်းပပြီး ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းရှိ ကလေးငယ်များ၏ ကျန်းမာရေးကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပါသည်။ မိခင်နို့ချိုတိုက်ကျွေးခြင်းကို စောင့်ထိန်းရန်၊ မြှင့်တင်ရန်နှင့် ထောက်ပံ့ရန်အတွက် အစိုးရမူဝါဒချမှတ်သူများ၊ ကမ္ဘာ့ကျန်းမာရေးအဖွဲ့၊ ယူနီဆက်နှင့်အခြားအဖွဲ့အစည်းများမှ ၁၉၉၀ ခုနှစ် သြဂုတ်လတွင် လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးခဲ့သည့် Innocenti Declaration ကို ဂုဏ်ပြုသည့်အနေဖြင့် နှစ်စဉ် ကျင်းပလေ့ရှိပါသည်။ \nBreastfeeding promotes better health for mothers and children alike. Increasing breastfeeding to near-universal levels could save more than 800 000 lives every year\, the majority being children under 6 months. Breastfeeding decreases the risk of mothers developing breast cancer\, ovarian cancer\, type 2 diabetes\, and heart disease. Family-friendly working conditions are an important component under WGE and one of the ways to support them is by providing lactation rooms. As BCGE would like to promote the best practices of business who are taking a lead in this initiative\, we are launching a campaign in August for breastfeeding awareness month.
