DESCRIPTION:Date: Friday May 22\, 2020\nTime: 10 – 11 am\nLocation: Online Webinar \n  \nIn this webinar in partnership with Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB)\, you will gain an understanding of why disability inclusion is an important and necessary factor in crisis response management and learn about the current situation for persons with disabilities based on national and international findings.  \n  \nIn this webinar\, Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business’ Deputy Director\, Hnin Wut Yee\, Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business’ Programme Associate\, Myint Naing Kyaw and Shwe Min Tha Foundation (Myanmar)’s President\, Myat Thu Win will discuss: \n  \n– The business case for disability inclusion \n– Good practices and lessons learnt about disability inclusion in COVID-19 crisis response in the world of work \n– Employment situation during COVID-19 for persons with disabilities in Myanmar \n– Assistive technology for productivity during work from home period \n– Nationwide findings from “Myanmar Disabilities Alliance of COVID 19 Response”  \n– Personal and institutional experience of a leading disability figure and a business owner \n– Additional resources relating to disability inclusion  \n  \nJoin us for an informative session to learn how to support inclusion practice in the workplace! \n  \nThe webinar will be in Burmese\, and is free and open to the public. Register to attend below! \n  \nAbout the Speakers \n  \n  \n \nHnin Wut Yee \nHnin Wut Yee joined Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB) as Programme and Outreach Manager in 2013\, becoming Research and Outreach Manager in 2015 and Deputy Director (policy and research) in 2019. Prior to that\, she worked as Myanmar Programme Coordinator for the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB)\, based at the British Council in Yangon. She has been involved in a base line study conducted by the Human Rights Resource Center (HRRC) on “Business and Human Rights.” Hnin has also worked on research projects such as base line study on violence\, exploitation and migration of women and children\, community participation in water management\, socially engaged Buddhism\, gender and disability rights. \n  \nHnin was a part-time research fellow of the “MK 31 Nu-Thanlwin-Salween” study project led by the Centre for Social Development Studies (CSDS)\, Faculty of Political Science\, Chulalongkorn University\, Thailand. The project supports professional development of water governance and regional development practitioners in the Nu-Thanlwin-Salween Basin and was undertaken with support from the CGIAR Water-Land-Ecosystems Project and Australian Aid. Hnin has a master’s degree in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) School of Public Policy\, National University of Singapore\, MPP and a Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization (MHRD) from University of Sydney. \n  \n  \n \nMyint Naing Kyaw \nMyint Naing Kyaw joined Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business (MCRB) as Programme Associate (Discrimination\, Disability\, Gender and Labour) in January 2019. He is also a part-time EC fellow at the Disabled People’s Development Organization. Prior to joining MCRB\, Myint Naing Kyaw worked as a Project Officer at the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan). Before working for AAR Japan\, he was with the Eden Center for Disabled Children\, working on physical and intelligent impairments\, inclusive social protection\, education and livelihood projects. \n  \nMyint Naing Kyaw has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from West Yangon University as well as a diploma in Social Work from University of Yangon\, a diploma in Information Communication Technology and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Application from University of Yangon. \n  \n  \n\n    Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
