SUMMARY:Webinar: Fostering Safe and Happy Workplaces for Persons with Disabilities
DESCRIPTION:The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is annually observed on 3 December. The theme this year is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive\, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 World”. Globally\, the covid-19 crisis is affecting the world’s one billion people with disabilities who even under normal circumstances are less likely to access education\, health care and income opportunities or participate in the community. The situation worsens during COVID-19 crisis for those living in poverty and facing inequalities. The simple words “stay at home” have exposed the economic inequality that divides most cities\, countries\, and regions and has elevated the centrality of the right to housing. People with disabilities tend to experience higher rates of violence\, neglect and abuse as the pandemic intensifies. Those who faced exclusion in employment before this crisis is now more likely to lose their job and will experience greater difficulties in returning to work. \nIn this webinar with the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business\, we will hear from experts on how to build back better in Myanmar\, towards a disability-inclusive\, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 through the gender perspective. \n  \nTo attend the event\, please register below: \n\n Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
