SUMMARY:Incorporating D&I in Response to Employees Safety and Security (Members-only)
DESCRIPTION:The Business Coalition for Gender Equality is launching two diversity and inclusion (D&I) guidelines in emergency and safety responses on 9 February 2022. \nIn April 2021\, BCGE conducted a need assessment of members to support any required workplace gender equality\, diversity and inclusion (WGEDI) advisory in their challenging and new-normal situation. Members requested D&I guides for their operations\, especially in safety and security situations. \nBCGE collaborated with a consultancy firm\, Conyat Create\, to produce simple guidebooks in members’ safety and emergency operations management to consider equality\, diversity and inclusion. \n1) The Power of Inclusion: A Simple Guide for Businesses Operating in Myanmar to Mainstream Gender Equality in Safety and Security Planning and Management.” \n2) Inclusion in Emergencies: A Simple Guide for Businesses Operating in Myanmar to Consider Diversity and Inclusivity During Emergency Preparedness & Recovery.” \nBCGE developed these guidelines with the primary purpose of providing businesses operating in Myanmar with practical information to support the safety and security of employees during emergency preparedness and recovery. \nBCGE believes building an inclusive workplace can create a sense of being appreciated and respected\, enabling employees to contribute their talents to drive organisation performance in any situation\, maintaining a high level of operational readiness. \nJoin us to hear why diversity and inclusion matter and how to apply practical steps to enhance the safety and security of employees through the use of gender and an inclusive lens. \nWho Should Attend \nManagers\, human resources practitioners\, executives \n*** The webinar will be conducted in the Burmese and English languages.
