SUMMARY:D&I Club Event: Celebrating Achievements and Aspiring New Directions
DESCRIPTION:On 9 June\, the 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐂𝐆𝐄 hosted the D&I Club\, “𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.” It was an incredible gathering of passionate D&I and HR professionals dedicated to fostering equitable and inclusive workplaces. \nOn the day\, we celebrated our achievements as Myanmar’s first member-only community of D&I and HR professionals\, reflecting on our journey that started with an inception workshop and deep-dive discussions on Flexible Working Arrangements last year. With fruitful subgroup discussions\, impactful presentations\, and the launch of a key practise note\, we’ve made significant strides. Congratulations to all the dedicated D&I club members who actively contributed to the journey and are now being recognised with an accomplishment award! \nThe event included an engaging session on “Elevating a Respectful Workplace for the Next Chapter\,” exploring ways to foster a culture of respect and inclusion in organisations. Looking ahead\, we are excited to explore new directions. Our chosen topic for the year 2023-2024 is “Anti-Harassment\, Anti-Bullying\, and Non-Discrimination (Policy).” We have assigned subtopics\, established a timeline\, and appointed team leaders\, ensuring collective input and involvement from D&I Clubbers. \nOur very own D&I club is the first and only D&I communication platform in Myanmar where D&I and HR professionals can build valuable networks\, exchange best practises\, access exclusive resources\, and much more. Moreover\, a D&I clubber is more than just joining a fun club. We aim to accelerate organisational and human development by collaborating and sharing effective strategies. It’s better to join our club now than never at all if you are willing to advance inclusive workplaces through workplace gender equality practises and initiatives\, leading to sustainable business outcomes. \nOnce again\, we express our gratitude for the invaluable contributions and dedication of our D&I Clubbers to fostering diversity\, equity\, and inclusion in the workplace. Together\, let’s create a more inclusive future!
