SUMMARY:D&I Club Year End Event: Embracing Achievements
DESCRIPTION:Thank you for joining us on June 20th at our 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭\, “𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬\,” hosted by the 𝐃&𝐈 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 of BCGE! It was an incredible gathering of passionate professionals dedicated to fostering equitable and inclusive workplaces. \nOn this special day\, we celebrated our achievements as June marks the 2nd anniversary of the D&I Club since its launch in June 2022 with an inception workshop as Myanmar’s first member-only community of D&I and HR professionals. We reflected on our progress and journey in 2023-2024 including deep discussions on the thematic topic\, “Anti-Harassment\, Anti-Bullying\, and Non-Discrimination Policy.” With fruitful subtopic discussions led by adept group leaders\, collective input and involvement from D&I Clubbers\, and the launch of a key practice note\, we’ve made significant strides! \nTo date\, our D&I Club has gathered a total of 54 members\, including 5 Strategic Clubbers\, 6 Associate Clubbers\, and 43 Lead Clubbers\, who are D&I\, Sustainability\, and HR professionals from various member organisations. At the event\, our Country Director\, Daw Kyawt Kay Thi Win\, provided updates on the introduction and launch of the “Key Practice Note on Anti-Harassment\, Anti-Bullying\, and Non-Discrimination Policy\,” as well as the future direction of the D&I Club. \nMoreover\, the event featured an engaging session where D&I Clubbers shared their commitments to DEI for themselves\, their teams\, and their organisations\, as well as their personal definitions of the D&I Club and what the Club means to them. D&I Club Leaders\, who facilitated the respective five subtopics\, were also presented with tokens of appreciation for their contributions throughout the year at the three workshops held in October\, January\, and May. Moving forward\, we will be opening our club to individual members who are not part of our member organisations but are eager to participate in advancing the D&I agenda of the Club. \nExciting times lie ahead! Stay tuned for more updates as we begin the third chapter of our Club journey!
