SUMMARY:Leading the Way: Key Moments from the Workplace Gender Equality Learning Event
DESCRIPTION:Participants from four regional equality partnership countries of the Philippine\, Indonesia\, Vietnam and Myanmar at Annual Gender Equality Learning Event\, organised by the Investing in Women\, posing for a photo \nOur Country Director and Executive Team from BCGE proudly participated in the annual Workplace Gender Equality Learning Event\, held in Manila\, the Philippines\, in November. Hosted by our program\, Investing in Women\, this dynamic gathering brought together regional counterparts\, including the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment\, Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment\, ECUE Vietnam\, and BSA – Business Studies & Assistance Center and other regional partner organisations. The event fostered collaboration and innovation\, focusing on growth\, sustainability\, and meaningful knowledge and experience sharing\, in other words\, cross-regional-learning for the next level of growth. A key highlight was our Country Director’s participation as a panelist in the Fireside Chat on LGBTQIA+ Inclusion across Myanmar\, Indonesia\, the Philippines\, and Vietnam. Joined by esteemed speakers from BCGE\, the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce\, ECUE Vietnam\, and Investing in Women\, the panel delved into the region’s unique challenges and opportunities for advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and workplace acceptance. The conversation addressed the influence of cultural\, religious\, and societal norms while inspiring action toward inclusion and equality. Over three days\, the event also explored pivotal topics such as integrating ESG principles with the GEARS Assessment\, utilising the Gender Pay Gap Tool\, and fostering diversity through organisational development and inclusive leadership. This enriching experience reaffirms our unwavering commitment to promoting Workplace Gender Equality\, Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion. The insights and strengthened connections from this event energise our mission to build a more inclusive and progressive business landscape.
