Admist the 16 campaign celebrations, our Founding Member, AYA Bank PCL, worked closely with us to ignite a crucial conversation on cultivating inclusive workplaces. This collaboration underscores the shared commitment to fostering environments where respect, equity, and inclusivity thrive. Under the theme “Cultivating the Culture of Inclusivity,” the event featured a dynamic panel discussion led by influential voices, including Daw Khin Ma Ma, Vice Chairperson of the BCGE Board and Vice Chairperson of AYA Bank PCL; Daw Kyawt Kay Thi Win, DEI Thought Leader, Strategist and Country Director of BCGE and U Nay Lin Htut, Chief Business Officer of AYA Bank PCL; and U Paul Nyan Myint Soe, Head of People Department at AYA Bank PCL. Together, they shared invaluable insights into building inclusive cultures within organisations. The critical topics addressed are:
- How AYA Bank PCL integrates Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) into its organisational practices.
- Principles for creating and sustaining an inclusive culture.
- Tackling workplace challenges to establish zero-tolerance for harassment.
- The vital role of leadership in driving transformative change and promoting gender equality.
During the discussion, BCGE’s Country Director highlighted the transformative power of inclusivity and leadership in cultivating respectful workplaces. Her inspiring message resonated strongly as it states, “Inclusivity isn’t just a policy, it’s a practice, a mindset, and a shared responsibility.” The event indeed served as a powerful reminder of the importance of collective action in fostering inclusivity.
