A membership with BCGE is the first step to designing your company’s journey to implementing workplace gender equality. As a member of BCGE, your company will be recognized for your commitment, credibility, and progressive thinking.
A membership with BCGE is the first step to designing your company’s journey to implementing workplace gender equality. As a member of BCGE, your company will be recognized for your commitment, credibility, and progressive thinking.
All members of BCGE must:
⦁ Be a legally registered company/organization in Myanmar
⦁ Be compliant to legislated laws and regulations in Myanmar
⦁ Must not be on the blacklist of the Myanmar Government, the World Bank, ADB, DFAT, DFID and other internationl agencies
⦁ Undergo an initial workplace gender equality assessment (Know Your WGE) upon joining
⦁ Free full-day ‘Understanding Workplace Gender Equality’ training
⦁ Free ‘Know Your WGE (Workplace Gender Equality)’ report which provides a snapshot of where you are on your current workplace gender equality journey
⦁ Member access to all BCGE events and activities
⦁ Member access to BCGE Chamber of Commerce partners’ events and activities (CCI France, EuroCham, AustCham)
⦁ Input for national-level policy reform
⦁ Access to membership appreciation dinners and networking events
⦁ Discounted rates for BCGE services
We offer four levels of membership with varying access to benefits and discounts to our services.
Observer Members are organizations that are not yet ready to undergo an assessment and take on WGE actions but are interested in learning more through our network.
Initiator Members are organizations that want to learn more about workplace gender equality and begin their journey.
Initator members are expected to:
⦁ Have a non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy or clause in the code of conduct (BCGE can provide a policy template upon request)
Implementer Members are oragnizations that are starting to partially implement and/or aim to improve workplace gender equality policies and practices.
Implementer Members are expected to:
⦁ Have a non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy or clause in the code of conduct (BCGE can provide a policy template upon request)
Leader Members are organizations that are accomplished leaders in the commercial market in workplace gender equality policies and practices
Leader members are expected to:
⦁ Have a non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy or clause in the code of conduct (BCGE can provide a policy template upon request)
⦁ Have at least one additional policy, practice, or initiative in relation to workplace gender equality
⦁ Have leadership commitment for workplace gender equality
