Aye Chan Myae is the Senior Lead in the Technical Department at the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE), where she works to promote workplace gender equality, diversity, and inclusion (WGEDI) in Myanmar’s corporate sector. She is a Certified Diversity Professional through the Institute for Diversity Certification (IDC)®. 

With over ten years of experience in gender equality and social inclusion, Aye Chan brings both field-level and organizational perspectives to her work. Her career began in community-based natural resource governance, focusing on gender mainstreaming and sustainable development. These early experiences helped her build practical skills in training facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and working with diverse groups. 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Forestry, Yezin, and a Master of Science in Gender and Development Studies from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. During her studies, she collaborated with AIT on research related to natural resource management, social sustainability, and development in Myanmar. 

At BCGE, Aye Chan supports member organizations and partners through workplace gender equality assessments, technical advisory, and tailored training programs. Her work is informed by research and shaped by a commitment to inclusive practices. 

With a background in policy reform, rural development, and corporate inclusion strategies, she continues to contribute to efforts that make workplaces more equitable and inclusive.
