Mya Hpone Thant is a Senior Strategist, People & Purpose at the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE), with over a decade of progressive experience as a human resource professional brings strong expertise in client relations, performance management, employee engagement, and learning and development. More than twenty years of experience across diverse organizations, including the United Nations and international NGOs and extensive experience in project management experience while taking the lead as a HR Advisor on two sexual harassment prevention projects. 

Over the course of her career, she has developed expertise in gender-related activities and organizational development, with a strong focus on creating and implementing workplace policies that promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion particularly in the prevention of violence and harassment. At BCGE, she provides technical and advisory services to member organizations, enhancing workplace policies on gender equality and inclusion, and leads some of the key initiatives such as establishing mother’s rooms and the Diversity and Inclusion Club to foster healthier, more inclusive work environments. 

Mya Hpone holds a Global MBA in International Management from Swiss Business School, Switzerland, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Yangon University. A dedicated HR professional, she applies her strengths, experience, and knowledge to improve staff’s working lives and foster healthy workplace environments, while contributing to the continuous growth of organizations. Building on the knowledge gained from the ASEAN Human Development Organisation (AHDO) Certification Programme, she has further deepened her commitment to human development and strengthened her passion for advancing equitable workplaces and improving quality of life.
