TRAINING DESCRIPTION

Workplace Gender Equality 101 (formerly Understanding Workplace Gender Equality) is an essential half-day training organised tri-annually by BCGE. This training is the perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of creating a workplace where gender equality is achieved and respected.

The training benefits employees by creating an inclusive and equal workplace environment. Businesses can also benefit from the competitive edge that comes from promoting a culture of gender equality.

By attending this training, you not only empower yourself to create a better
workplace for yourself and your colleagues but also create a workplace that
can succeed and thrive in the competitive market.

The participants will explore the following –

• the basic principles through 11 WGE areas of BCGE and why it is vital for sustainable business growth, and inspirational initiations on workplace gender equality practices
• way to include persons with disabilities in the workplace
• awareness of workplace inclusivity through discussion on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC)
• fundamental knowledge of gender-related policies and their benefits
• tips on communicating inclusively in daily work life

Who should attend – HR practitioners and people managers who initiate/implement WGE in the workplace, any interested member firm employers/employees
