BCGE Engages in Breastfeeding Month with a Focus on Workplace Inclusion

August 5, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Country Director from BCGE discussing the importance of organisational support for working mothers at the panel discussion

In recognition of August’s Breastfeeding Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the benefits of breastfeeding and supporting mothers worldwide, Victoria Hospital, a Leader Member of BCGE, hosted an insightful panel discussion aimed at advancing breastfeeding awareness and workplace inclusion. The event, titled “Breastfeeding and Workplace Inclusion,” provided a valuable platform to explore key issues surrounding breastfeeding support in both community and workplace settings. BCGE’s Country Director and DEI Thought Leader, Daw Kyawt Kay Thi Win, played an active role in this event, contributing expert insights alongside notable speakers, including Pediatrician Prof. Daw Aye Aye Than and Daw Thiri Shin Thant. The panel addressed the vital benefits of breastfeeding, shared best practices, and emphasised the importance of organizational and community support for breastfeeding mothers. An interactive Q&A session followed, offering working parents the opportunity to engage directly with the experts and voice their concerns. Victoria Hospital’s dedication to supporting breastfeeding mothers reflects a broader effort to create inclusive, equitable environments that benefit both families and workplaces.
